I tried to crop out the tree, but then lost the effect of the pond. Like I said, they only let me take a few shots from a distance before taking off. Thanks for the comment. I'm going to add you to friends. It is good to get more than just "nice shot" or "good job" comments. Thanks Katie.

great composition...great placement of the mother and baby deer...the only thing is that the tree in the foreground is really distracting. other than that, this is a really awesome shot. congrats on getting such a beautiful wildlife shot...from your pond you say? wow. wish i had my own private pond...complete with adorable critters too! ok i'm rambling..well good job!

I think this works. But I'm curious as to what was wrong with the original??? I would guess it was a little out of focus/or they were out of the DOF?? The parent/child concept is conveyed nicely here,
