I wish I had taken this pic of a British Vanguard Class nuclear submarine (the Brits have four of these leviathans on patrol in the oceans). Alas I did not, but when I saw this image today I thought I should post it because I saw a massive incongruity between beauty - natural and man-made - and dark ugliness. This floating armageddon has the destructive power of a bazillion Hiroshimas. Forgive me for indulging you all, but this image holds power and impact and is, to me, thought-provoking, worrying.
It looks like a whale! Indeed, the Beauty and the Beast. The colors are very appropriate, somewhat apocalyptic, I like the sky and the orange horizon. Also, the human silhouettes give a sense of scale. I would only crop a bit on the left to eliminate that buoy, and rotate CW a teeny-weenie bit to a perfect horizon line. Great capture.
Mevludin - thank you, but I emphasise that am not the photgrapher (I wish I were LOL). However, the image I saw was hugely noisy and coarse, so I used "Neat Image" to smooth things out.
