Location City -  Ovenden Moor
State -  WEST YORKSHIRE
Country - United Kingdom   United Kingdom
About this is the last bastion of Yorkshireness on the pennines - any further west and you get to Lancashire... at which point you'll notice a far more friendly and cultured populous than the one you've just left.

The yorkies planted a series of windmills on Ovenden Moor to devend themselves from a LOancashire invasion, and this is the result..

Looks a bit like Pink Floyd's "Another bridck in the wall" video to me...

The post processing is certainly effective Ade and does lend it a 'The Wall' feel.

They are sure serious about keeping the Lancies out aren't they! There are loads of them! I guess that these things will rule out attack by killer kites then.....

cheers chris - I got the tones by opening it with PS's RAW editor and dragging the Exposure down by 1.5 stops, then playing with curves later on. get some intersting effects when you underexpose intentionally - you never get burned out highlights anyway!

The 'about' made me smile, and again wonder about those 'roots pulling you back' :) I love this, can't describe why, or go on about technicalities - just 'it is' very good

Great capture Ade, I have seen these from the A59 but never knew how to get to them ... guess I ought to follow the wind lol

I like the post processing and a good composition also :-)

Best wishes,
Steve
