Knowing North Mississippians as I do, Gunnar probably does have some kills, he just can't beat the big guys out to the field in time to collect his birds. Tell him to wait 3 seconds after the bird starts to fall, shoot low into the field, then run pick up the bird while Darrel is still afraid to stand back up. Good looking young man.

hello at least your son is smiling and not unhappy about his photo being taken.

i few little things you could try next time!

get down lower to make your son seem bigger rather than smaller in the photo.

take the photo more on a three quarter angle to show more of the body and nice relaxed pose.

more the gun higher up towards the body and closer to the chest. try tilting the barrel upwards. but away from people.

and finally put your camera on a tripod or handy rock and have your smiling photo taken along with your son.

Nice conversion to B&W. I might consider cropping a bit of the background to show off the subject - great eyes!
