George, Thanks for the comment. I was happy with being able to keep any of the contemporary crowd out of the shot, but most of the credit for the authenticity has to go to the reenactors. They go through great pains to be as correct as possible. These reenactors even went so far in their research as to discover that the 62nd did not wear regulation British Army breeches. Most British regiments with the buff colored facings to their lapels would wear buff breeches by regulation. The 62nd wore white breeches during the time of the Saratoga campaign that they are dressed to represent because they were cut from the army's old tents to replace the soldiers' worn breeches. They could not be issued with regulation breeches because the shipment from England had been captured by John Paul Jones a few months earlier. Eric

Superb image. Your use of DOF is very effective. This very well could have been as our forefathers saw it. I'm especially impressed by not being able to find any 20th or 21st century distractions... wrist watches, piercings, sunglasses, etc.
