Lovely shot, Bryan! For Cem's info, yes, this is a crowned plover, which is a species found more commonly away from wetland, unlike its close relative the blacksmith plover. They become remarkably tame, often taking tidbits from the hand

Thanks, Larry. I was at quite a low angle for this one. These wild birds get quite tame living amongst people - it was a couple of meters away from me. I have another where my camera was at ground level - also came out quite well, and I may post it later.

Very nice colors and position captured from the bird. I guess this is a kind of plover, a wetland bird. Fluffy exactly matches the photos' content...
