An impressive interior, George. The exposure range is handled well. Is the column leaning slightly to the right? This didn't exist during my visit to the Louvre in 1960. In fact, we arrived about 15 minutes before closing and were shooed out without having seen much of anything!

thanks George, up until this moment I never knew you could go inside. the idea of a circular staircase in a triangle awesome. feels a bit unreal.

I like this photo, George. A very intricate structure. It would also make a great B&W abstract with its curves and lines. (Without the people, of course, which is probably really hard to get.) A wonderful pic, very sharp and clear with good detail and exposure. Cheers, Ann.

Well I have been there and I didn't notice this at all, despite walking down those steps!? I like the two rebels that aren't following the arrow and the one just chilling out against the rail, there's another one chilling out above her as well. The composition is first class as well, the eye follows the stairs from the top down to the bottom and on to the two walking out of the frame and then back up again. :~}

Thanks, Paul. It is a very congenial space--open, filled with natural light and very easy to negotiate. Hope you get there soon. Take your camera. The Louvre is very photo-friendly. ;-)

Oh, thank you for posting this!
Having never (yet) been, I have wondered about the interior, but until now, had never seen it.
