Wow! A double Eagle. That has to be a sign of good luck. (or is it a golfing term?) Anyway, great pic. Maybe an oldie, but definitely a goodie. Cheers, Ann.

I think it was a pair Ellen, but I'm not sure, you know how eagles are! There is a nest that the eagles come back to every year near our camp, so we usually get to see two of them on the nest. They usually return about October, this one's from 2003. I hope to get more images of them this year, we'll see.....Darlene

Now this shot really amazes me, the feather deatil on Bald eagles is really not easy to get this nice. and to get two of them with perfect lighting and detail is outstanding, I have only had one bald eagle opp in my life and I blew it :) but someday hope to get a really nice one perched and in flight. they do not come anywhere around here and I do have a trip planned soon to shoot them, but you cant do it any better than this...

A terrific instant classic. The bald eagles have been scarce around here recently. They are magnificent subjects as you demonstrate so beautifully with this shot.

All the best,

A superb image of this mighty pair, Darlene. Feather, eyes, beaks and claws, all in super detail. You've effectively composed them on a simple, dead branch. Bird photography really is your forte. 7.

Darlene you really got a double dose with this pair. Is this a once in a life time thing or is it common to see them in pairs like this? Can you tell weather these are male or female? I don't remember seeing Bald Eagles any other color, the males being prettier I mean so I was just curios.
Fine shooting my friend. Hugs.

Awesome! How great that you were able to capture this. We saw several bald eagles on our recent vacation but they never just sat there and posed for me! Well done. Great vivid colors. Their feahters look almost painted!

"Thank you John! Krystal is home from the hosptilal for a couple of weeks then they'll wait a until her counts go up then do it again. She is very tired but her spirits are high She is supposed to go back to work tomorrow morning. She got out of the hospital on Friday and my Mom went in Saturday! They're not sure what's wrong with her, she's almost 90, we should get the tests results back tomorrow. Well life is full of turns in the road, and we must just turn with them,,,,,Darlene

wow, double feature! :) Amazing quality for 1200 mm. It might have been like this, but I think might be worth increasing the saturation of the blue sky a little.
