the dark tones here give it a very stormy moody look. or a mysterious look. excellent work.

Beautiful view and composition, John. Very nice tone, as well. What a dramatic sky there. Well captured, congratulations, my friend!

This is my sort of photo, John, with the tree framing the shot. The sepia toning, enhances the bellies of the brooding, rain clouds.

A golf course is the last thing I would choose for a subject,- which shows my lack of imagination!

Excellent.

Thank you, John, for asking about me. I'm fine and everybody around me is fine. I hope the same holds true for you.
I hope also that you enjoyed the game in the counrty club as much as I enjoy this photo of yours.
Thank you for your very kind comment on my "Hibiscus, detail 4."

thanks for the helpful comment Randy!!!It was a wierd kind of shot, The sky in the distance was dark and cloudy, really ominous looking but where I was standing it was full sun, Hot and humid! I used a polarising filter as well to grab more contrast in that sky and mayby underexposed a bit, the toning brought out some details and gave the photo some needed life. I kind of liked the darker areas and tried to frame the scene with that great looking tree! Glad You liked it!
No I'm not a golfer but go by this course many times!!I did play when I was Younger , broke 90 once!usually around 100. How bout U?
Take care my friend!................John

A nice view from the shadows with great natural framing. Good details far into the picture. I like this toning but perhaps a bit dark for sunlight grounds, or because of strong shadow it appears to be direct sun, even though visable sky is fully cloudy. Well composed shot. Are you also a gulfer? Busy guy you are.

Nicely done--The composition and coloration turn what might have been a typical scenic into a very interesting and artistic image.

Hi John, I really like the tones here to accentuate the look of the clouds. Great composition with the framing of the tree silhouette too, a great shot!

Nice composition, John, and I like the toning, too! It gives the shot a period look, and, I think enhances the detail in the sky. An all round very pleasant image to look at.
Dave.

Very omninous, John. It looks like the golfers would be stepping into some mystical stormy land. I really like the tone.

I bet every golfer is drooling on their keyboard over this shot! Golf courses would make the perfect parks if they didn't have so many swearing men with swinging clubs. :) I love the color tones here and it is quite peaceful looking compared to acutally wanting to hit a ball to the microscopic hole. Excellent comp!
