Good specimen for this kind of work, Ron. I like the diagonal orientation of the flower, though I am findind that in the end it looks a bit too centered.
You did some good work with PS to darken the surroundings of the flower. It is mostly very well done, but there is some darkening and loss of contrast visibly "invading" the petals on the lower left.
Overall, a very nice picture, I really like it.
