Ok I see people are interested in knowing what he is looking at, the truth be told there is nothing above him...he is trained to commands and I told him to sit up and then snapped the shot, I cropped it as tight because there was my kids toys on the ground near him and i found them distracting from the image. Thank you for your comments , it has given me more to think about when taking a picture. -Robert

Very nice pose by your dog, Robert. The composition is tight, eliminating any distractions in the background.
But maybe it is a little too tight. The dog is so centered, the composition is a bit static. What I'd sugest you try is some variations. How about opening the zoom wider, and placing the dog on the loser left corner, with some "empty space" above and in front of (him). since he is looking up, the viewer wonder what's there that has his attention.

Capturing dog tricks, huh? ... Maybe David Letterman will invite you to his show? ... Another FUN picture Robert: never seen this pose before ... wonder what he was looking at... Gabi
