About I've been noticing more and more flowers since I got my macro lens. Here's a lovely row of flowers on a balcony I pass on the way to the station for my daily commute into central Tokyo. The blue poles in the background are clothes poles, for drying washing. The Japanese prefer these to clothes lines.

Mark, I think you're right. I left it in because I wanted the hanging greenery to be all in the picture, but I just tried cropping it as you suggested and it does look better.

These are beautiful. What a gorgeous combination of colours. I like the dangling plants. The fact that the balcony is so pale really emphazises the lovely flowers. Great shot.
