About This picture came out looking very pixilated for some reason. Not sure why, unless I messed up my camera settings by accident. I tried to PhotoShop it, but didn't really it. oh well... ;) I still like the colors though.

I think this is a very difficult shot. It is impossible to have the tree and the pavilion good, the contrast is too large. But I think the tree deserves to be photografed. It is a very nice and interesting trunk, I should take it closer.
Best regards.
Ferdinand

This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Mr. King (and this is, more or less, my standard opening whenever I meet a new UF member.) You wrote in your bio that you were an undergraduate student of psychology and that immediately aroused my interest as I'm a psychoanalyst. I asked myself (and you) if we could possibly have common interests. I looked through your portfolio. What I saw was an excellent use of nature, people and objects to create images with excellent captions. When first meeting a new UF freind try to comment on the first photo that friend poted last. This is because many times that photo is a representative of quite a few of his other photos. This is the case here also. In many of your photos you depicted nature in a very interesting way and this lovely photo of the convoluted tree is a good representative of that trend.
You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay further visits to my portfolio.
In the meantime I thank you for your kind comment on my "Figure in colors 2."
Best regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann

Myles besides the obvious which you have mentioned, it is a really interesting shot. I love the perspective and the way the beautiful tree trunk is your main focus, the colors are also wonderful and the shot has beautiful details and depth. Nicely seen. Alison

excellent composition! it is too bad that it is all pixelated...but oh well, it still looks very nice! i do like the colors, the blues are really pretty! i think the only thing that would make this shot is a penguin! :) hehe good work! Kess

Great colors and composition. It is a shame that it is not clear.

Uno scatto assolutamente incredibile, è impressionante come il tronco dellaa pianta sembri parte armoniosa dell'architettura, quasi una colonna portante.
peccato per la risoluzione un pò povera di pixel, avrebbe potuto diventare perfetta...
