Hansi I am continually amazed by your ability to think and speak about a broad range of photographic qualities. The word tactile reminds me of the way I was thinking here, of running my finger along the edge of the leaves. I guess that was what guided my choices in cropping and playing with the curves in this image but I don't think I'd have recognised that as being a central thought till just now reading your critique. Thanks. I wanted to study this frost tender plant from our warm north that I don't see very often here in the cold south, but really in my immature list of criteria for what makes a photo worth while there was nothing to cover this photo but I floated it anyway (tell a lie, I thought the background had a good structure).
It doesn't neccesarily make the picture worthwhile... :) ... and thanks for broadening and affirming my thinking.
