This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Mr. McClenaghan (and this is my standard opening whenever I meet a new UF friend). I read your bio in which you introduced yourself as a professional photographer with quite a few prizes in your bag. I think that gives any comment you make that much more impact. Of course I could not go through your entire portfolio in one go. When first meeting a new UF friend try to comment on the photo that friend poted last. This is because many times that photo is a representative of quite a few of his other photos. This is the case here also. Many of your photo are dedicated to states of mind and others are highly ironic or, like your "fish food" show a highly developed sense of homur that does not spare your own person and I like that very much. The above excellent B&W photo of the empty food bowl that you named "freedom from hunger" is a good reprentative of your irony as well as that of your social sensitivity.
You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay further visits to my portfolio.
In the meantime I thank you for your kind comment on my "Light from within."
Best regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann

I don't get it! To me it's just a jumble of dark shadows.
