Siamo tutti macellai. Chi mette le bombe ed uccide. L'occidente che piange i suoi morti. L'Islam ferito e dilaniato dalle sue stesse bombe. Siamo tutti macellai.
We are all butchers. Who places the bombs and kills. The "western" world who weeps for his deaths. The wounded Islam, hidden by the same bombs. We are all butchers. The western "Civilization", which during the centuries has annhilated other cultures and civilizations, with the blessing of those who should have promoted brotherhood. The eastern civilization and Islam, which have remained in fortresses of conceit and incomunicability. We won't resolve anything until there will the right distibution of richness and affluence, so that all can study their own culture, but with equal rights and possibilities.
It's not a clash of civilizations: the roots, unfortunately, have to be researched and investigated in more down to earth reasons ... even if someone would like not to explain us. And here I will stop. I think that's enough to think about it.
I apologize for the harshness of the picture and I won't be offended if someone will ask - because he thinks to be offended or troubled by the picture - to retire it. I will do it for sure. Nonetheless, since photography is a way of communicating, I've thought it right to express and convey my own feelings in this moment through a "hard" image, clear in its similitude. My vent is a very human one, with no political implications. I believe in and also pray and practice solidarity. Solidarity is not only the sorrow and the justified weeps of one day. Solidarity means also talking to understand each other and other's reasons. To do this, forgive me, I couldn't have use a landscape.
Buona domenica Lodovico. Cecilia
I'm not offended, just a bit shocked. I'm new to photography and I' quite supprised by this shot. It definately unique. I did translate it from Italian to English, but the translation program that I used isn't very good (it was free...). I tried to make send of the translation, but maybe I didn't do a good job. I'll work on being more understanding in the future. Have a great day.
To be honest it's a very sensitive & hot subject! For example I've seen a pic in one of the photo forums (a naked woman covered with blood)... Most of the comments that the photographer received was (oh it's not my kind of photos but I like it)! Why did they like it? I guess because the pic was implemented very well & the naked beautiful girl ;) That photographer had a message & he transferred this message to the viewers in a very good way! In my opinion this image what we r seeing now gave a very strong message & farmers (all over the world) r used to sheeps cows pigs & even camels skuls! :))) Strong composition & very well implemented... Well done!
Sorry Michael, if you've been offended by this provocation. I suggest you to read the about: when you first open the photos it was only in Italian. I understand your point of view, but still think that this picture represents the state of my soul, now. Regards from Rome. Lodovico
