About This is the townhall of Laa a. d. Thaya, a small town on the border to Czechia, which I visited on my bicycle tour.

"Aemula Venetiis, urbs antiquissima Laa, haec jacet in medio stercoris, illa maris".

This was said by Aeneas Piccolomini, the later Pope Pius II, who has been priest in Laa. In English it means "You old town of Laa, competitor of Venice, you are surrounded by mud, and Venice by the sea".

Thanks, Drilan for your comment. Thoughtful as always. I'm very busy at the moment with video editing and don't have much time for photographing. But I'll watch what's going on.
My next trip will be to Croatia in September.

Kind regards, Markus

Hi Markus! Excellent light and angle! Really nice to find a bank (sparcassa) here as well :) Beautiful architecture!

Welcome back, Markus. Must have been some bicycle tour! Very well composed photo and thanks for the "about" and its translation. The litle Latin I learned many years ago is almost all forgotten.
Thank you for your very kijnd comments on my "Light from within 4 and 5" and "Raflaction in Nes Tziona."
Nes Tziona (a flag to Zion, also a miracle to Zion) was one of the first settlements in Palestine of Jews from Europe, now a florishing town.
Best regards,
Rafi

Thanks for your comment, George. It really might be a difficult exercise to get everything in parallel and still having the blue sky;)
Cheers, Markus

Lovely use of color. The blue sky makes this shot in my opinion. One thing I see in your shot that I have problems with in my wide angle shots is the pillar leaning to the right but the steeple leaning into it (It might be nice to see them both remaining vertical). Kinda affects the perspective. I wish I know how to prevent this without having to work it in PS.

Hi Marcus
Great shot of this lovely Architecture. The white building against the clear blue sky works well...
