About
This series is from the annual civil re-enactment event hosted by the Lake County Discovery Museum last weekend. Various groups of soldiers camp out in the preserve for a weekend and have their big battle on Sunday afternoon.
She was one of the only (if not the only) female soldiers involved in combat during the re-enactment. A display talked about the fact that, indeed, female soldiers did participate in the civil war in much greater numbers than generally anticipated (not just as nurses).
Picture details: Aperture: f8.0 (fixed), shutter: 1/320s (manual), focal length: 500mm (manual), no flash, no tripod.
for remember all the moment, hard, difficult, strong, and all.. tremedous, dramatic.. but your photo (and i remember all your "old" shot) have a great sense and perfection.. nice snapshot! my best wishes roby 7
Jurgen I like this one, even though they are re-enactments there are times when the expression, stance whatever really strikes a chord. I felt very much like that with the 'boy soldier' I put up. It was a snatched shot and not very good, but it was something special for me in a different way. [I see you mentiont the clothes, when we went it was also very warm and they charge about - I think that the ones that are choosen to 'fall dead' probably welcome the rest LOL. On a serious note - there was a very nasty accident at one of the jousting touraments here recently. Margaret
