Thank you for commenting Mary.Hopefully there'll be some more photos like this very soon as July sees the beginning of Antequera's Blues/Jazz festival which lasts all month and takes place in beautiful patios, late at night ,all over the city.A treat for photographers with a love of music. It gets more international every year and is well worth visiting Antequera for!

Thanx for your comments Robin,I'm glad you enjoyed the photo, taking it was alot of fun!Post-editing is an integral part of my photography and this photo was no exception.I normally shoot in raw so the process starts there.Soma sort of sharpening-entire or selective-is a must;the Pentax istD doesn't do that,it's up to the photographer to control that.In this photo channel mixer in BW mode plus curves and selective colour were used with some selective sharpening and blurring.

Great depth here, love the angle of the guitar and the strong highlighting effect of the purfling on the edge of the guitar which really shows the beautiful curves of his Gibson (I assume!). This is carried over brilliantly into the border and made all the more apparent obviously because its done in black and white. Looking harder I can appreciate the reflection on the guitars body which gives it a more 3-D appearance.
Fantastic overall result though!
Think there must have been a bit of post editing on this photo though, did you have to sharpen the image? The edges on the faces look quite smoothed?
