About Taken this spring near Phoenix when the poppies were in bloom. Now all this grass is dead and they are having fires in the desert from all of this wonderful green growth they had this spring.

As others have pointed out, the composition makes an otherwise ordinary desert scene, more than ordinary. I have learned a lot from looking at your pictures, Don. I find myself looking through the viewfinder at everything that will be in the frame and setting the scene with the best possible outcome from what is in front of me. Your pictures always do that.

Another lesson today.

This is a very nice composition, Don, the main subject grabs your eye and then you look farther on into the picture. I like the little yellow flowers in the foreground that serve as a contrast to the stickly cactus. Very nicely done! Best regards, Larry.
