About Driving across most of Northern India through dozens of small villages. I was amazed at how women can carry almost anything on their heads. No PS used - very slight crop.

Mark,

Yes!

Lumbering movement and static bits. Fascinating thermodynamic asymmetries. Avoidable sadness.
At last, another favourite photo.

More please!

Excellent silhouettes, Mark. They not only carry a lot of heavy loads, but, like in the silhouette here, are faceless and almost nameless.

Like an Indian relative of my wife says: the more you work, the less you get paid; housewives don't get paid.

These ladies have to go and fetch firewood to cook, and brave India's crazy roads to boot!

I am literally charmed by this photo! Perfect backlit and perfect frame, the two women silhouettes have something magic against this bright background, I like a lot also the colors that complete this great atmosphere, really a splendid shot!! Bye, Max
