This was a shoot I was taking over for another photographer at the school (Columbia College Chicago). There was a death in her family, so I was asked to fill in. At the same time the fashion designer (real bitch!) I was stuck working with made wedding dresses. I love shooting wedding for a living, so It worked out perfect for me. The model was even PERFECT for this dress and lots of other images I have of her and etc. from that same shoot. I'm using this one for my wedding cd that I have coming out next year and etc... After the shoot they all treated me like shit and didn't even give my work a chance, so fuck them... I will use it all for my self then,,,I have had lots of jobs because of this series of fashion work I did and there is lots more to come because of it. I'm just trying to be careful with these images because I really enjoy them...
You are so right about the things you say, but viewing your work and etc. your forming your own "reputation" or in other words "style." Thats a good thing, but you'll fall into what you are saying about photography. Photography is like a girl friend, its very high maintenance. To me its like a addiction and I have lost lots of girl friends because of it. It also help me deal with really bad things in my life. I realize that no matter what in life, you have to give something to get something. No matter what it is...
