About Of course I live here in Germnay, but along with traveling, I love music and have been a pianist for 18 years now. This church caught my eye, and by the instrument inside you can see why. Enjoy

Crap! So sorry about that. It was a typo I had no idea existed. I am all over the world and made a mistake. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though.

I am curious, can you tell me where in Iraq you took this shot, and what kind of church it was?

5 years to go my friend and yes, German organs are true masterpieces. I enjoy playing every one I can find. This one is in a town called Saarbruecken on the French border. Obviously in Johhaneskirche

Then by all means, play one of these German organs if you can! Most American organs pale in comparison! I studied in Basel Switzerland for 5 years and got to practice all day long on exquisite 300 year-old instruments!

The tuition in German music schools is free too. You should quit the air force and study music instead!

Craig, I've been an organist since I was 9 and a pianist for 18 years now. My fav to play is either Bach's Prelude and Fugue in D Major,, Vierne's Finale from his 5th, or Widor's Tocatta from his 5th

I am an organist, so I can especially appreciate this photo.
Have you ever tried playing one of these? If you do one day, you will probably end up quitting the air force and entering my profession. :-) Please post some more.

Regards, Craig

Thank you Wendy. I didn't know you were a photographer. I think I knwo which cathedral you're talking about too. I played a concert there with my friend Felix. It is a great organ. About the same size as this one. Can't wait to see your pics though.

This is an amaizing shot Carter!!! I recently visited one of the oldest Catholic Churces in Phoenix and it had an organ that consisted of 5000 pipes, pretty neat huh

I like the shot, but perhaps it would be nicer if you didn't see the parts of the arches.

Good shot, Carter. I like the angle and symetrical composition...
