Jimmy... I've yet to visit Banff, but have had the pleasure of visiting Glacier National Park. Glacier is the most impressive national park I've yet to visit. I very badly want to return there. During my only trip there my camera broke, but I still got a few decent shots.

One can never really capture the grandeur of these western scenes but you have come awfully close with this magnificent photograph. You chose a great time to visit this park with the snow capped mnts. in the background.
Have you been to Glacier NP yet? I have plans to visit it in September and while there do YellowStone and Banff NP in Canada.

Hello Jim, beautiful landscape shot, I do hope to make it up there in the near future to explore & photograph . My only comments is I noticed the sky(Left Side)has different densities in blue & a connecting line streaking to right of frame. Other than that excellent comp, like very much the vibrant colors. If this photograph can't do it justice, it must be freaking amazing in real life. The colours here have such punch, and the huge vista of interesting hoodoos and cliffs have great impact against the blue sky.
Love the sharpness, from front to back and the mix of dry almost desert in the foreground and snowy mountains in the bg.

What a brilliant shot Jim. I know that there is a lot of difference between watching a photo to actually being there in the place and witnessing the scenery with ones own eyes. But I have thoroughly enjoyed viewing this photo and admiring the awesome beauty of the place. You have done a great job. This one goes to my favourites.
