Nice perspective and composition, Cessy. You're fast on the shutter button, too!

Good shot for a beginning bird photographer. Nice to get the top of the wings with the sun on them instead of the bottoms in the shadow. Keep shooting, and you'll improve. I enjoyed reading the lyrics you provided because that song came to mind when I read your title.

Fabulous capture Cessy, I tried this only last week with vultures but my compact was far far too slow - so I know just how difficult this is and your photograph is remarkable :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

I think it is one of the most difficult captures indeed where it request high anticipation and well prepared, this one is great if to think you are learning, to me you did fantastic work. Saeed

Marcus Armani always makes these look so easy but I also have trouble with bird shots! I think you have done exceptionally well here Cessy... the bird is well framed, crisp and clear with good colour definition. I would be very happy to have taken this!
Wel done!

good moment Cessy!!! I used to put the speed a bit low (about 500) with smaller aperture. I'm not expert, but capturing birds is my favourite...) btw don't forget to use servo

cheers
Inge

thanks arwa
yup this one make you wanna sing
thanks for the mariah carrey song
i have another song in my head too

Fly right into the future....
I wanna feed the babies... said, who can't get enough to eat
Wanna shoe the children... no shoes on their feet
I wanna house the people... livin' in the street
Oh yeah there's a solution
Let me fly like and eagle... to the sea
Fly like an eagle let that spirit carry me, I wanna Fly right into the future

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future... ...
Keep on flying...

And even more difficult to catch them with their wings outstretched, like you did here. I'd say you did an excellent job.

Fly like a bird
Take to the sky
I need you now Lord
Carry me high
Don't let the world break me tonight
I need the strength of you by my side
Sometimes this life can be so cold
I pray you'll come and carry me home

:)
