The day I shot this pic there was a LOT of haze from fires in Idaho and California, but I agree I should have beefed it up a bit.

The Big Guy on the left was just telling Junior to keep a respectful distance when on the way to the waterhole. Just one good slam made the point, and they continued to the river and drank.

Ben: My thought would be this is a bit overexposed, probably due to the water reflection. I would think that you could shoot this in RAW, then correct exposure for the dark bison and save there. Return to the original RAW and set exposure much darker to bring out the water better and save it. Composit the two images and you get the best of both worlds. (I see everyone has edited your image . . . No problem . . . it's a fun image anyway.

I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of editing this one a bit. I have a d100 myself and I know some of the things you need to do to fix little exposure issues. Let me know what you think.
