About Pak Satrie, the salt farmer, he was watering the sand with the sea water.
To make this traditional salt, it needs to water the sand in the morning, and in the afternoon, he will put the sand in a container at a high place. then he will water again the sand using it as filter. the water dropped will be put in a coconut/wood container for some time until the salt developped. They will add iodium and packed in plastic bag.
One plastic sold for 5000 rupiahs (50 cents euro), in one day, maximum he can only sell 10 plastic bags.

Your portfolio is amazing Cessy. This pic is just to my liking. The contrast between the dark earth and the blue sky is great, plus all the water. Just brilliant!!

You?re a wonderful photographer cessy! To actually go to Bali and photograph its people and the authentic real country instead of photographing the clichés ? beautiful sunsets with honeymooners cuddling- shows your good eye, compassionate heart and your erudite mind

Love the freezing of the water and the tilt, with the proud man doing his job while caring the weight of the world on his shoulders!
Wonder how many people dose he have to take care of!
Excellent work my friend :)

Hi Cessy,
Your 'About' adds much interest to an already
good photo...Pak's clothes contrast nicely with the Clouds and Sky...The falling droplets of water give added feeling and depth. Good shot of everyday Bali Life. Thanks,Greg

Everyone likes how you tilted the horizon. Me too.
It emphasizes how much this man has to work to make a living.

Good capture Cessy, Nice vertical composition of the photo with some the slant ... I like the oblique line of the photo: the sea shore, the clouds line and the stick on the farmers back.
Well done,
Khaled.
