About Filters: 2 x polariser (north and south); ND grad filter, under-grad filter and post-grad filter.

I also applied the new Nikon 'smello-vision' filter ~ just put your nose up to the screen and take a deep sniff. *

I hope you like it!

Best regards, Chris

* P.S. If you can't smell the flowers then you've been had!

I must get those filters (and a collection of your skies would be nice !). Looks as if the sun is behind a cloud, so far is the transplanted sky quite ok, IMO. Thanks for showing the original, impressive to see what you have done !

Carsten

Chris,
Thanks for including your original. I appreciate seeing the changes compared to the original. The rest of us not quite as skilled in PS work can see a little of the vision you have when these are placed side by side.
Thanks,
Christopher

Mmm, I know what you mean, Roger!
I think I got the light direction about right, but perhaps the sky should be a little paler?
Whatever, I prefer it to the original, for which see below!!
Best regards, Chris

Nice sky, nice scene, not sure they go together very well, though.

A very nice picture of Forde Abbey, Chris. I particularly like your work with the under-grad filter and the post-grad filter. Afraid I have had some sinus trouble lately and was unable to appreciate the smello-vision filter. Best wishes, Larry

I suspect this is with D70 MKI after it went in for repairs. Our insurance policy is 'New for Old'. Or maybe this smello-vision is in the new D70s firmware. Don't think I'll upgrade cos all I can smell is manure.
Terrific PS work Chris as always from you.
Regards.

Chris, the smello-vision filter's a great success, could have sworn that I could smell the photographer's cheese sandwiches! Not sure it needed a new sky as the sky's a bit bright for the foreground but you've done a fine job of fitting it into the image... how long did it take to join it all up?!

Chris Spracklen   {K:32552} 6/1/2005
It's just my little jape, Julie! )
I'm often being asked if I added a new sky, so I've owned up to it, (in a roundabout way!), by way of the title ~ but it's not a 'new' sky so much as an 'old' one as I took it a month ago! The rest of the image is as it was!!
With me now? Or have I just made you more confused than ever!
Don't sorry, my tablets are due in around 30 minutes!! )
Best regards, Chris
