About
Brave soul up there. Think it's called a paraglider. He was having a grand old time flying all around above the water. At least it would be a softer landing than the ground...lol
Rafi, That is what I think of when watching birds, what it must be like to soar. But no guts to hang from a parachute. Parasailing would be more my speed if ever I work up the courage. Thanks for your comment. Sent you an email. Marilyn
This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Ms. Nagy. I read your bio, looked at your webpage, which, as far as I could tell was new and had only one photo on it and looked through your entire portfolio back and forth. Your wonderful photos show me that you live in the US, a country I drove through twice and learned to love. At the danger of repeating myself I will state that all your photos show a great sense for the use of light for making pictures, which is the essence of photography, as well as a sense for composition and some humor, without which life would be dull. (I'm a crab, what's your sign). From all your wonderful photos I decided to comment on this one because it reminded me of my younger years, in which I was part of a parachute unit and jumed about 20 times. The feeling of floating in the air with the canopy over your head is incomparable to any other feeling I know. You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay futher visits to my portfolio. When you read my bio, you will find out that I am a psychoanalyst. I have written a book called "Dialogues with Schizophrenia - the Art of Psychotherapy." Despite its name, it was written with the interested non mental-health professional also in mind. You may see it on www.drspringmann.com on which site the more important issues to pay attention to are Dr. Joyce Mc Dougall's preface (she is a leading figure in the psychoanalytic community) and the story of Adam, the first schizophrenic patient whose psychotherapy is described in the book. In case you would like to read the book, (1.02 MB) please send an e mail to rafael1930@bezeqint.net and I will gladly send it to you at no cost to you. Seveal UF friends have received the book from me in this manner and so far there have been no complaints. In the meantime, I thank you for your very kind words about my ""Autoportrait."" You wrote that you had tried the technique and were not satisfied with the result. Your other photos tell me that you ought not to give up. Best regards, Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann
