About Sepia toned print scanned from B/W slide.

Old DeSoto sedan that seen better days. When I was a kid my father had an old 1941 Chevy sedan he was going to restore which was very similar to this DeSoto. Man that car was a tank. Detroit made cars out of steel back then.

Great nostalgia shot Robin. Nice toning work to aid in the nostalgia too. I love the slight sheen to the car's curves. Cars back then had such a fabulous organic shape to them - I mean just look at all those lovely swirls and curves and bumps and how they all flow from one to the next. And they call modern cars 'progress'... This old car has seen many more days than most modern stuff ever will and is still (at least from here) relatively sound and solid. Most stuff of the 70's has dissolved by now...
