About On May 25, 2005, I went to Fletcher Wildlife Garden to photograph birds. This one striked me for its beautiful colors in the bright sunlight.

Superb picture, Pierre!!! Very nice colours and excellent detail. Birds are challenging but very rewarding subjects to photograph.

Well done!!

Thanks Susie!! I suppose I got lucky as this was only my second bird photo outing :))

You have some great flower and bird shots.

Terrific, Pierre! The bird against the unfocused background makes him stand out. Wonderful tones and detail. I agree with Shane that a little off the bottom might enhance it. However, I think i'd leave a bit more of the greenery than he did.

Again, beautiful Pierre! These guys aren't the easiest to find, let alone capture a great photo like this.

Hi Paul,

This is my first close look at these birds. I'm very, very new at watching / photographing birds. Quite neat to see them! Thanks for the comment.

Hi Shane,

Thanks very much for the re-post! I think you're right that the tighter crop brings the eye more to the bird.

I don't mind the suggestion at all, besides a big reason I joined Usefilm is to learn. I also have much respect and appreciation for those who take the time to post honest and truthful comments.

Thanks again Shane!

Pierre,

That's a beauty, for sure. You really get some nice range through the scope.

Hey Pierre,

Simply awesome! This could easily be a magazine covershot! Truly awesome shot! My only suggestion would be to crop in a bit tighter. The bottom greens of the cedar are a more than you really need and it draws away from the bird.
