I know what you mean about all the buttons, John. I normally set my mode switch only to the Tv(shutter) or Av(aperture)mode and dial in the speed or opening I want.

Thanks for the helpful comments Jimmy, I'll try your suggestions. This camera will never replace my film cameras, this was just a bit of an experiment. These things have far too many buttons and menus, they drive me nuts!!!

I like it because it's bright, sharp, and has good shadow details. Which brings up the point that digital is just opposite of film when it comes to exposure. In film, expose for the shadows and develop for the highlights. In digital, expose for the highlights and adjust in software for the shadows. Not that I remember to follow this advice myself, very often.

Well, well. Digital! Hope you get a lot of fun out of it... But although I like the daisies, I think digital's primary weakness is showing here--burnt out highlights on some of the petals.

Wonderful Photograph john, Great Colors. Needs a little work on the crop. Also reduce your exposure bias and/or force flash to reduce the sun's brightness.
Thanks for sharing, Peter Daniel
