Hello Lee Ann,
Rain curtain is actually a term used by meterologists so I can't take credit for being poetic ;) I am happy that you didn't find the tree too distracting -- I had trouble deciding what to do with it when I was cropping. I wish something was different about this photo -- but I am not sure what. The actual view was much more "magical" than what is shown here.

What an interesting weather pattern! It certainly is a curtain of rain--nice word image to enhance the visual image. The tree in the foreground is a neat juxtaposition that really anchors the photo.
