Never mind its English name. I would think that most English speaking people would not know it either. What counts is the beauty of your capture, Markus. (I wrote that before I peaked down at other peoples' comments.) Thank you for your kind comments on my "In Monet's garden 1, 2 and 3." As to 3, in the absence of a ring flash, and I did not have one at the time I took that photo, I believe its position to be the best to capture the translucet beauty of the flower. Best regards, Rafi

I will try tomorrow, Lily. I have found the name in the meantime. Botanical name: "hippuris vulgaris", in English "Mare's Tail".
Cheers, Markus and thanks for all your comprehensive comments.

I don't know the name either but would make an interesting photographic subject. Marcus, you might want to try one in macro with its shadow on water.
