Thanks for the kind words. The Nikon 70-300 ED is definitely a great travel lens, and a bargain at the price. Another stop faster might be nice but then it wouldn't be nearly so small and convenient. I look forward to seeing your Mandarin Duck.

Magnificent capture of a truly gorgeous creature Eric. This is uncanny, late last night I was preparing to upload a shot of a Mandarin Duck but couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to upload. It's on my list for tonight so watch this space.
That 70-300 Nikon lens is quite good and sharp isn't it and you've used it to great effect with this image. Well done.
