Great photograph of a hard to get subject. Normally, I get a filthy window and terrible light. This capture is awesome.

Best,
Dave

Hi Randy, thanks for the comment. I must say i like it myself. I fly fairly frequently over short distances and then I'm almost permanently glued to that small little window. Will post some others later. Take care.

This is a great shot Joggie. For some reason comment I left earlier never showed up and I just discovered that, I had even recommended this for award in forum. This is one of the best shots of this type I've seen. Nice work.

Hi Aqeel, Thanks for the comment. Yoy are right, I have not increased the colour saturation, I have actually decreased it a bit because it appeared a bit over saturated on my screen. It may appear different on somebody else's screen since few screens are calibrated to the exact same settings. Kind regards.

Beautiful and so imaginative !! If you haven't increased the orange tones in PS (knowing you, I assume you haven't), then this must be a rare phenomenon and you are a lucky person to capture it at the right moment.

Thanks for commenting Manu - I have already decreased the saturation by about 5%, this is as close to reality as I could remember. Take care.

Simply beautiful....especially the definition within the clouds. Might prefer the pink to be toned down a little but just my opinion..

Thanks for the comment Chris - Yes the window was fairly clear. I have taken a fair amount of photos out of the plane lately and learned a few things. Firstly, dress in dark clothes because there is always reflections from inside the plane and that way you can block out most of it. Secondly, forget about using a polarizer to get rid of glare etc. - you are shooting through a double window and the polarizer produce al weird and wornderful discolorations. Thirdly, try and use a longer focal length and keep the lens as close as possible to the window, it will help to neutralise the impurities, scratches and distortions. Lastly, the windows gives everything a blue cast which can easily be corrected in PS. Kind regards.

Beautiful capture. Love how the sinking light brushes the top of the clouds. Nice execution and doubly superb knowing that it was taken from the window of a plane. Regards, Andree
