Lovely image but I am trying to figure out what that straight vertical line is on the right. It is distracting my eye in this otherwise stunning soft yet dramatic portrait. Light and tones are wonderful.

I find this photo special. The way the model looks straight to the camera, her hands touching her lips, the tones, the shadows everything is just in place. The focus straight in to her face, I like everything about this photo. Makes you wonder about the complicity between the photographer and the model.

never thought that I would like this in black and white when I added ?when she looks? to my favorites!
But I was WRONG! The soft light, the depth the variety of the gray tones are fantastic!
The bright strong red is gone and all that is left is a dreamy beautiful portrait! :)

Interesting portrait with good composition, expressions and light. In my personal opinion, i would crop from the tip of the chair on the left to eliminate the bars. Maybe your intention was to frame between those vertical lines on both side. In my opinion it looks better without them. Like the blurred background too.
