Nao conheco a 100-300. Gosto muito das lentes Sigma. O valor/preco é bom. Mas a Canon é sacana e volta e meia "sabota" os independentes, mudando certas voltagens nas cameras novas, o que impede as lentes (independentes) antigas de funcionarem. A Sigma, pelo menos aqui no Reino Unido, faz um chip/firmware upgrade na sua lente para compatibilizá-la com as novas cameras, mediante apresentacao do recibo de compra.
Como eu sou meio munheca, os únicos componentes Canon (além das cameras) no meu sistema, sao o Flash (540EZ), uma lente 50mm f/1.8 e um tubo de extensao EF25. O resto, é Sigma (15-30 EX, 105 macro EX, 50-500 HSM EX e TC 1.4) ou Tokina (28-80 f/2.8 ATX)
Os resultados sao bastante compatíveis com o preco.
Isso dito, se fosse profissional ou mais rico, comprava as lentes da Canon :)

Bela captura Angelo! Realmente bem mal encarado o rapazinho! hehe.. A propósito, vejo falarem muito mal do casamento Canon x Sigma em alguns fóruns. Você tem tido problemas de compatibilidade com a sua? Estou tentando juntar uma graninha pra comprar uma lente melhor e estava pensando na Sigma 100-300m que dizem ser muito boa. Alguma sugestão? Thanks for your comment (and the laughs --- I think maybe both you and Armando are nuts!) and your sugestion. It is valid.
I already cropped this photo from a landscape format (the bird was really far away) and I wanted to keep a 2:3 ratio.
But you are right: with your crop, the bird does get more prominence!

Hi Angelo...
Beautiful image and lovely composition... Excellent DOF!!! Just, IMO a little more cropping of the sky should give the bird more emphasis... I played a little with the cropping... What do you think??? Maybe it is not what you had in my, but it is just an idea... :)
