About Another in the series. This is actually some cd's that I fanned out. Taken with a 50mm lens in reverse with my 18-55mm. Minimal paint shop used-just some cropping, sharpening, and I flipped the image.

David,
Thank you for your kind comment! This was one of those rare moments where it all came together. I just spent a few minutes arranging the CD's and then took the pictures.

Hi Jim! Using a lens in reverse in really easy. All you do is hold the reversed lens up in front of the lens that is mounted to your camera. You could also buy a thing called a reverse ring. It will allow you to attach the reversed lens directly to your camera (it will be a lot less awkward than doing it by hand).

If you try this, it requires a little patience to get the focusing right.

V Cool effect.
Had no idea what it was without the explanation.
Really nice composition.
Did it just fall together or did you find yourself spending hours arranging the cds?

Very creative abstract.
A question, you used a 50mm lens in reverse, how do you do that??????? i've never been able to figure out how to do that.

What an amazing abstract! I would never have guessed what it was at all if you hadn't said... I just love this - so simple and effective...
