Thanks for your comments on HMCS Prince Rupert. I do like pictures with selective use of colour and this is an excellent example. I love the repetition. Well done.

hi george,

nice double team ;-)

first thought, you duplicated the pelican... but these twins really make a strong appearance. A mild pity is that they don't contrast very well with the background. So a more shallow DOF would probably help to get them away from the impact of the background.

just an idea though, great work anyway.

best wishes,

thilo

It rather looks as if they were waiting for you to capture their photo, George. The colored neck and head feathers look gorgeous on the gray background and their parallel stature makes this photo a masterpiece.
Thank you for your very warm words about mt "Violet hibiscus, detail", my "Passover" and especially my "Television!"
Best regards,
Rafi

They look amazingly pre-historic.. something dinosaurian about these fellows? Coastal Mexicans sometimes refer to them as ?the Mexican patrol? ;-). Real strange looking birds, yet incredibly gracious flyers, really living gliders, and fabulous fishers ? a terrific spectacle to see them in action.
This is a good portrait George ? you capture something noble about the two?

Magnifique rendu de ces deux gros ?moineaux? qui sont presque full coloured itou. :)
Superbe cadrage qui met en valeur ces deux volatiles qui ont l'air un peu hautains.

Great Shot George; Besides the clarity, the DOF really sets them off... How did you get so close??? I guess you just didn't look sufficiently palatable...

Cheers,

Bill
