Oh Kay, thank you so much. You've got me blushing! I am so flattered that you would consider my work good enough to learn from. Bless your heart!

Thank you Nancy. I think a border would ruin it too. I really think my effects make it look more overexposed than it actually was. What I did was use the dodge tool on the background around her, which was a white sheet. Then my software I used for this had a "glow" effect and I think I used it after dodging the background. It just faded it out to white white. Which is exactly what I wanted. I didn't realize it till now, I think I washed out too much of the dress. It really wasn't overexposed at all. But I'm so glad you liked it. I did not crop this at all, I composed it this way when I shot it. I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks Jan! Isn't that expression priceless? It really fit the composition of the shot I think.

Thank you for your comment Ciana. However, I think a border would ruin it. But thanks for commenting!

Pefect, Dale Ann. The fade out is awesome- will be just awesome framed for her mom. Portraits like this will last a lifetime and be a treasure forever. You are my mentor!

Wonderful and amazing! You've done a really great job here with this portrait. I love that the little girl is off to the left instead of dead center - very effective! How did you get the fade out effect around her white dress to fade to the white background? Just excellent! I wouldn't want to see a border of any kind around it; I think it would spoil the effect you've achieved here.

This is cute. I recommmed a thin border around this for a better composition. Currently, it is hard to determine what is the picture and what is the Usefilm background.
