Nice idea. However I find the foreground disturbing because the focus falls off. Just for fund (I hope you don't mind) I have crop the image. What do you think?

Hi Joe,
Nice photo. I like the contrast between the pebble at the front and the rocky island in the distance.
You chose an interesting setting for your DOF, with just the rock in focus. Traditionally I have seen this type of photo done with loads of depth, showing everything sharp. Your choice is valid and nice, but I think the "size contrast" factor would have been aided by more DOF.

Oh yes. it survivies the blurr well and to my eyes comes out with heat and colour enhanced.
