Very little camera movements ? Is that it ? Looks great in this cropping too. Was there a bit more at the top ? If so, I'd suggest to include slightly more at the top and slightly less at the bottom. Regards.

Ooops! That should be Quick View ID# 7884. Sorry.

Thanks Bill. The colour and texture here are the result of a slow [perhaps 1/4 to 1/2 second exposure] taken late in the day well past sunset. Knowing I couldn't hope to hold the camera steady, I deliberately shook it during the exposure. You can see an uncropped version of this shot if you enter 7784 into the Quick View ID# under the randoms thumbnails on this page.

Glad I caught this on the random views. Lovely color. Hoping you'll describe how you obtained the "pastel" color and texture.

Thanks. This image is already cropped considerably. I struggled with the best cropping and came up with what you see here. Maybe I'll post the full version and ask you both to suggest alternatives.
p.s. What is the Detlef technique?

John, this is beautiful! I agree about the crop. Such a shame to lose any of the image. Love the technique and the colors! Is it anything like the detlef technique? Would like to see some more like it!
