You're right. The OOF red flower IS a little distracting.Would have been nicer if you could have kept the whole of the subject in focus against the OOF BG.

Thanks for your comments. Yes now a days I am after macro. Last week in Botanical Gardens I was after capturing pollens with my little V1. but sorry to find that with V1 we cannot push it to get that detialed shot, offcourse of we not use a macro lens. This photograph is only in camera's in built macro though :)

Thanks Aditya. With P&S camera like V1 we cannot push the aperture for more shallow DOF. My wife commented that she would prefer this image with the while twig in sharp focus. I also think so, the OOF red flower is bit distracting. What you think?

Thanks Peter.
When I keep looking at this photograph, two thigs comes to my mind. - I should have used slightly smaller aperture to let the red flower stay in focus - that could have produced a more vivid picture.
But at the same time the blurred front end of the curved stem and the flower gives a pseudo feeling that the picture more dimensional feeling as if the flower is hanging in front of the viewer.
Thanks for your comments
