About This shot has a very special meaning. One of my best friends & I were hiking this canyon in Longarone, Italy in the Italian Alps. It was a great day; these canyon walls are more than a 1000 ft. in some places and I had fallen the day before from one of them the day before after slipping from well over 80 feet from the bottom and ironically with the camera that I took this shot with. 3 Months later I moved back to the US and Chris was killed in the prime of his life; we were both 24 at the time. This is in his memory; he was a great friend!

Grazi Marco! I didn't know this about Longarone and I always wondered what happened there. I have walked around that old dam site. Wow...what a tragedy! All that life gone...It is a beautiful place though...Ciao!

For Italian people this shot is in fact a tragedy within a tragedy: as most of Italians know halas very well, Longarone (http://www.longarone.net/) is the small fraction where 41 years ago the Tragedy of Vajont destroyed so many lifes. I was moved by the idea of Rob and I opened the picture because of its title, to understand which kind of memory the picture represented. Thank you Rob. Marco, from Rome Italy
