This is beautiful Judi... I'll write your reply here because it doesn't seem to work in my picture, I don't know why:
I have used two cokin filters, one orange for the sky and a purple for the sand. Strangely, the part corresponding to the sand is not so good here as it is in the original photo (much bigger). It has too much digital noise that does not appear in the original. It's much better in this website:
