Excellent photo, dramatic in tone. Eye catching

Great framing and use of color, poser poles and the storm clouds.

Michael,

It is actually an area just west of Altona near Tarneit and Rockbank. The power pylons are the pylons that take power down to Geelong. So it is Victoria but is only just outside of Melbourne. Thanks for your comment.

I am enthralled the different levels of heightened contrast. In the bottom third of the photo, the golden field steals the stage and the legs of the structures softly exist over the field. the middle portion is graced with the striking sunlit structures gleam against the dark sky. The final changing of the guard for the contrast is story sky itself allowing the sky to take center stage. I really love how you have the power lines going from left to right, creating a feeling of infinity. Also I appreciate how there are two power lines to hold the weight of the composition down, as the sky does not dominate the frame but, is thinly veiled by the power lines which vanish off in to the distance; a perfect touch.

I wish I could get a large version of this picture to hang in my room.

Beautiful colors. We get moments like this sometimes in eastern Oregon, too, with the towers rising over golden fields and backed by dark skys. Nicely done. -- Naomi

Thanks Melissa. This picture was a case of being in the right place at the right time. Five minutes later the light was gone. I'm glad you liked it.
