I love how the laughing little girl grabs the eye and how the image keeps delivering more delight as one notices the figures in the shadow part of the image.

It does not bother me that you've cropped her foot. I don't think that it takes away from the strenght of the overall composition.

It's still a wonderful photo, I think you focus on the expression so much for than her foot anyway. and thank you for your comment on my image.

Dear Arwa, Thank you for your comment about my returning to UF. I'm very glad you did because I wasn't aware of your work and you have SO MANY original strong images - very creative. The Arabic / Islamic world has such strong character in it's people and its buildings, Mosque's, and other architecture that it's always nice to discover something new or countries I haven't been to yet. I love this shot with the balance of everybody in a moment of different emotions but yet the composition is perfect. i wouldn't worry about the foot didn't really notice it until you mentioned it. There's so much more to see in the photo.. All the best, mark

Hi randy! You jus gave me the best complement ever! To be able to even connect to one viewer means the image works!!!
Not works as in work but you know...there was a connection between the photographer and the viewer, hope im making sense LOL :)
Thanx for the comment :)

Oh I love this! I shall add to my favorites. Do not worry so much about the foot, I was so absorbed with the other great details of this shot I did not notice until reading your note. This brings back memories of my older sister and I. Three great differing expressions in this capture, along with texture and colors.

...the only waste would have been had you not taken the shot 0 the foot would have been better in but does not detract in my eye from a fine image - the people are wonderful - K

perfect Arwa... wonderful photo of misery... I prefer it in B/W

There are people living in misery while we are enjoying the decadence....

Great photo

Yes, one way to save this pic.. don't look at the foot, at the end, they are not important, the important thing are the two expression of the two children..

congrats!

Very touching subject, reality image carries a lot if humor and sense. If I was judging the photo yes you will loose one point in composing the image, that?s foot missing, next time avoid your feet but still add the subject ones :) wonderful theme full mark. Saeed

Hi hugo!!!
Every time I look at the image I get so annoyed! It was around 12 pm the sun was so hot and it was so bright the main thing on my mind was exposing the image correctly by the time I finished flipping through the aperture and shutter control compose the image and took the shot I was so afraid that the moment will pass! I never knew street photography could be this difficult now I have this new respect and admiration for all the good street images :)

It's also nice this way Arwa, you know I like streetphotography :0)
I like the smile on the face of the girl standing on the right side and the crying face of the boy on the left, nice combination.
Good work dear,
Khaled.

Hi Arwa, I can only aggree about the foot.... A pitty, as the shot itself has alot of merit, well exposed, and a good use of the wide angle. (despite the distortion) The people in the doorway add alot to this image. Very well captured.

Cheers,

Hugo

A very nice street shot. I would make the white wall slightly darker and the opposit on the people.

The foot is minor; I tend to look at the whole photograph, and I like what I am seeing.

This is not a portrait, where cutting off a foot would be a big error. It's a beautiful "slice of life," and the foot doesn't matter at all, it just makes the image look more candid.
