Good job on reducing that background spotlight. As this is documentary work it is always a little questionable to do that kind of edits but it does improve the photo - I wish I had the old version to compare to.

Reposted to show some subtle changes suggested by critiques. It was thought the spotlight upper right was distracting. So I sort of 'turned it off', but still as if it is reflecting light from another. I sharpened the front of the man's face slightly. This was shot with a weak panel light showing on them off to the side. It was difficult low illumination, existing light. Both are still basically in shadow.
