About Walking back to the stables after the show. Had to do some PSP work to remove the trucks parked on the side - is it obvious? I used the clone tool on some trees.

I never thought of that before Mark. I just learned about the clone tool about a week or so ago - never thought about transferring an image to another one through cloneing. I'm learning more and more about this PSP everyday - so many neat things you can do with it that I never had realized. Thanks for the advice!

Andrea, I like this crop better, because the area to the right of the horse balances out the composition. Work off of this. Go back to that same place (when there are no cars or people) and at the same time and re-shoot it. And then clone in the empty space from the second re-shoot. Another option would be to clone the horse & rider into the second re-shoot. Sometimes I can't go back to the same place, so I add elements from totally different locations!

The final cut doesn't look any more doctored, no. But looking at the original, I think I'd want to include the area to the right of the horse.

Now, that I posted the original picture, does it look even more "doctored"? The more I look at the two I can see things, but I think maybe it wouldn't be so noticeable to a viewer who saw it fresh without knowing what the place really looked like?

Do you mind showing the original ? I like the solitude of friendship in this shot.

I like it. I probably would not have noticed if you had not pointed it out. Good work!

I didn't notice and still couldn't after really looking hard at it. You did excellent work with the use of the 3rds rule here. Love the feeling of the "long road ahead" you created. Very nice work Andrea!

Thanks everyone!

Mark - the sunlight is coming from the right. The 2 large trees on the right are cloned and the 2 smaller trees next to it on the right are cloned. The middle (above the rider's hat) is actually all real. Funny, how I too thought that part looked fake and it's actually the real deal. I think I cloned 2 trees in the middle left as well.

I think it's a fantastic shot, very well done! Love the composition, and the diagonal treeline on the left. Excellent tones.

I'm trying to figure out if those are tree shadows, and also where the sun is coming from. If the sun is coming from the right, then those distant tree shadows (if they are) do not register correctly. You did an excellent job cloning out the trucks on the side. I can't tell at all. But what's up ahead? That looks like a paste-on. Try coming back when there are no cars and shoot the road going off into the distance, and clone it into this one.

Very nice composition! I also love the b&w tone! with a sense of drama... i wonder if they won the game? :)
